WHAT IS MINDFULNESS?
Mindfulness is a state of awareness of essential harmony within self, within all relationships and within all circumstances. Mindfulness reveals wholeness, balance, order, peace, justice, right action and relieves disharmony, separation and suffering.

WHAT IS THE BASIS OF MINDFUL COACHING?
Mindful Coaching begins with the following assumptions:
- People are naturally whole and resourceful
- Balance is essential for fulfillment
- Clients are their own authority for change
- Change is promoted with mindful guidance, support and partnership

WHAT IS THE FORMAT FOR MINDFUL COACH CERTIFICATION?
Participants attend 50 hours of instruction during the training, which includes 2 weekend intensive seminars and 8 weekly 2 hour seminars. The training is experiential, didactic and comprehensive. Participants receive a manual, which includes an intake packet, worksheets, tools, strategies and bibliography. Seminars are supplemented with practice coaching sessions, written assignments and one to one sessions with the facilitator.

IS IT NECESSARY TO HAVE A COACH IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TRAINING?
It is strongly recommended that participants hire a coach to support their learning and process.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS TRAINING?
Mindful Coaching is an exclusive training for professionals only. Learning is accelerated and streamlined for professionals to build on skills rather than start with basics. Those eligible to attend are qualified healthcare professionals and leaders (including therapists, health educators, social workers, fitness professionals, nutritionists). Related business managers, teachers, certified or licensed human resource providers and spiritual counselors or ministers are also eligible. Students of these disciplines, enrolled in professional level coursework, may also to participate and are asked to submit proof of their status with their registration. WHO IS THE FOUNDER?
Billie Frances, MA, received her counseling license in 1993 and received training in personal coaching in 1996. She has successfully included coaching methods in her private practice for high functioning, motivated clients who seek greater fulfillment, balance and focus. She has trained counselors in the art of guiding mindful change since 1988.
WHO ARE THE FACILITATORS?
Facilitators are Certified Mindful Coaches who complete a rigorous year long train-the-trainer program. Trainers facilitate with integrity, humor and enthusiasm and are dedicated to the success of the participants.

Nurses -- Mindful Coaching Training Program has been approved for the awarding of 84 contact hours for nurses nation-wide. This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the Wisconsin Nurses Association Continuing Education Approval Program Committee, an accredited approver, by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. |

WHAT IS THE TUITION?
Tuition for Mindful Coach Certification is $3250. Tuition may be paid by check or credit card (Mastercard, Visa, or Discover). Guiding Mindful Change requests a $250 non-refundable deposit to reserve a space. The balance is due 10 days before the training begins. Early registrations and group discounts are available. HOW DO I REGISTER?
First, choose your training schedule/location. Use the secure online registration option on the training schedule page. Or, if you prefer, print and complete the registration form and mail to Guiding Mindful Change, 5663 Balboa Avenue, #438, San Diego, CA 92111. Registrations may also be sent by FAX (858) 571-8764. Payment may be by personal check (payable to Guiding Mindful Change) or Discover, MasterCard or VISA.

WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?
Cancellations must be made in writing postmarked at least 14 days prior to the training date for refund less $250. Refunds are issued within 30 days. Cancellations within 7 days of the training will receive credit good for 1 year.
