- Describe the primary types of cardiovascular disease, including heart disease and stroke, and explain their common risk factors.
- Ā Explain the components of metabolic syndrome and how they contribute to cardiovascular risk and chronic disease.
- Identify the role of chronic inflammation in arthritis, metabolic dysfunction, and cardiovascular disease.
- Recognize lifestyle and behavioral factors that influence cardiometabolic health and inflammatory processes.
- Interpret basic lipid panel markers (total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglycerides) and identify common lipid abnormalities.
- Explain how lipid abnormalities are associated with cardiovascular and metabolic health risks.
- Apply foundational knowledge to support informed, non-diagnostic conversations with clients or patients about heart health, inflammation, and risk reduction.
- Differentiate between education, coaching support, and clinical diagnosis within scope of practice.
